Account and journal information
Adonis stores your account email, name, Google profile image where available, and selected time zone. It stores meal entries, meal transcripts and notes, nutrition estimates and edits, food and nutrient goals, and weight records to provide your journal and summaries.
Google sign-in identifies your account. Connecting health data is a separate choice; it is not required to keep a food journal.
Google Health and Fitbit information
If you connect Google Health, Adonis requests read-only access to activity and fitness, health measurements and sleep information. Depending on the data available from your account, devices and granted permissions, it saves weight, body-fat percentage, steps, calories burned, workouts, resting heart rate, heart-rate measurements during the day and workouts, and reported sleep duration. It stores measurement dates, source and connection status. Heart-rate measurements are stored as time buckets rather than a live heart-rate feed; access and coverage can be incomplete.
Automatic syncing starts from the connection date and checks for updates, including while the browser is closed. Data may arrive later or change as your provider updates it. Your manually entered weight records are preserved. Calories burned and energy balance appear beside your food goal; they do not automatically increase it.
Connection tokens are encrypted in the Adonis database and used to obtain the information you permitted. Health measurements are not sent to OpenAI. Disconnecting Google Health on the Account page removes the connection credentials and stops future syncing; it keeps measurements already saved in your journal.
If you upload a Google Takeout archive or extracted files, Adonis builds an import preview. Only the records you confirm are saved, with source, date coverage, time zone and import counts. Raw uploads are discarded after processing and are not sent to OpenAI. An archive import does not establish automatic syncing.
Meal photos and voice recordings
Adonis sends your selected meal photo to OpenAI after image processing and removal of image metadata. OpenAI prepares a food and nutrition estimate. The original photo is not saved in the Adonis server database.
Meal voice recordings are sent to OpenAI for transcription and nutrition estimation. The server discards the audio after processing; the transcript and draft meal are saved for your review. The Android app can keep an unfinished voice draft on the device so that you can retry or discard it.
OpenAI processes this content under its own applicable terms and data-handling practices. These features send your chosen media to that provider; do not include information you do not want processed.
Food identification, portion sizes and nutrient estimates can be wrong. Drafts are not included in confirmed totals until you review and save them.
Overnight audio and possible-snoring analysis
The Android app records overnight audio only after you start a night and grant microphone access. A foreground recording notification remains visible. Audio is saved in private app storage on the recording device and is excluded from Android cloud backup. It is not uploaded to Adonis, Google Health or OpenAI.
Possible-snoring classification runs on the recording device using the bundled audio model. It flags sounds for review. Estimated duration and share apply to successfully analyzed audio; missing or interrupted recording time is not assumed to be silent. The estimates do not establish who made a sound and do not diagnose sleep apnea, breathing problems or another medical condition.
Adonis syncs finished-night metadata and analysis summaries to your account: recording times and original time zone, captured duration, recording status, sound events and microphone levels, classifier/model and analysis status, possible-snoring events and estimates, review exclusions, rest rating, factors, remedies and notes. These details are available on the web or another signed-in device; original audio playback and export require the recording device.
You can play, export or delete recordings on Android. Exporting gives the receiving app access to the audio you select. Deleting a synced night removes its server details and keeps a minimal account-owned deletion identifier to prevent an offline device from restoring it. The recording device removes its local audio when it next reconciles the deletion. An offline device cannot be remotely wiped.
Storage, access and retention
Adonis runs on Google Cloud. Account and application records are stored in Google Cloud SQL in the United States. Access to your journal requires your authenticated account. Local overnight audio remains on its Android recording device.
Saved journal and health history remain associated with your account until you delete the relevant records or your account. Intraday heart-rate buckets have a rolling 90-day history window. Disconnecting a provider stops syncing but does not delete imported history.
Technical service logs and database backups are separate from the live journal. The database retains seven daily backups and seven days of point-in-time recovery logs under its current backup configuration. Deleting an account from the live database does not immediately erase previously created backups; those copies expire through the infrastructure's backup lifecycle. Contact the operator for questions about retained operational records and backups.
Adonis also keeps anonymous daily totals of AI analysis attempts to control service usage. These aggregate counts contain no account or health identifiers and can remain after an account is deleted.
Delete your account and data
Use Account → Delete account and data on the web, or the account deletion action in Android. You will confirm your account email and reauthenticate with Google or your account password. Deletion removes your account, food entries, goals, weight and health measurements, workouts and heart-rate history, health connection credentials, sleep metadata and analysis, and native account sessions from the live service.
Account deletion also removes server deletion identifiers. An Android device that is offline may still contain local recordings or unfinished captures. Delete those recordings or clear the app's data on that device. Exported recordings remain under the control of their recipients.
You can start deletion without installing the app from the web account deletion page.
Your choices
You control optional microphone access, meal capture and Google Health permissions. You can review and edit estimates, disconnect health syncing, delete individual night records, and delete your account. Use Support for help with these controls or questions about your information.
